As KEDA’s Business Development Director, Kathy works closely with firms in the PTAC (Procurement Technical Assistance Center) and BRER (Business Retention, Expansion and Recruitment) programs. Ms. Cocus also represents the Western US as Region 10 Director on the APTAC (Association of Procurement Technical Assistance Centers) board of directors.
Prior to her work at the KEDA, Ms. Cocus was Director of Development for the Kitsap Humane Society (KHS), managing their fundraising events, direct mail campaigns, and marketing efforts. Kathy Cocus was the Executive Director of the Greater Poulsbo Chamber of Commerce for ten years, beginning her career in assisting businesses one-on-one.
Ms. Cocus also has extensive retail and teaching experience. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho. She has lived in Kitsap County since 1981 and resides in Poulsbo with her husband, Paul and yellow lab, Skye.
